Based in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, this new DMF will offer line maintenance and Mobile Repair Team (MRT) services for PT6A-11AG, -15AG, -34AG, -60AG, -65AG, -67AG and -140AG engine models, which power the world’s most popular agricultural (AG) aircraft.

“We’re thrilled to be the first in Canada to work with Pratt & Whitney Canada in this way,” said Dave Frisch, president at Portage Aircraft Maintenance. “The success of aerial AG operations has been due in large part to the dependability of the PT6A engine. We look forward to contributing to the continuing success of this engine and that of AG operators throughout Canada.”

Portage Aircraft Maintenance provides a comprehensive range of maintenance and repair services through its 8,400-square-foot, climate-controlled maintenance facility. Portage Aircraft Maintenance also has a 3,100-foot paved runway.

“By working with entities like Portage Aircraft Maintenance, we’re able to better serve our customers with more localized and personalized services,” said Satheeshkumar Kumarasingam, VP of customer service at Pratt & Whitney Canada. “It’s through collaborations like these that we continue to expand our global footprint and deliver enhanced capabilities to our customers.”
